so, the actual user car showroom is in stage of unpublic testing.
small news: seems, the windows screen saver version will be available too.

first shots of another user imported stuff attached  :)
some of google sketcup files needs to be exported with backfaces. really bad work of the creator, but the showroom can accept it  :P

well, what the user actually can change in the final public version:
* the complete car model  :P
* the shadow-map (if needed)
* the background music and engine iddle sound
* the car label

attached pictures presents the actual, and I hope, final layout  :P

;) actually the cars doing the thing nice looking I suppose, I just placed the model in the garage  8)

well today small new disclosure to all showroom project fans:

pre-release (un)public version is packed and was sent to testing:
(1) The user car standard showroom, which can be merged with 6.50 user made games
(2) The user car standard showroom, which can be merged with 7.x user made games
(3) The user car special showroom with automatic time guided cameras feature, which works like a windows screensaver (should be)
(4) The user car special showroom with automatic time guided cameras feature, which works like a standard appliaction (potentially mergable with 7.x user made games also)

also the user car name for the showroom is loading now from a text file (= easy to edit it)

for the time guided camera and car text loader feature scripts I must thank to Robertoo. so BIG THANKS!  ;)

So, guys, the Virtual Car Showroom (user Game Add-on / Screensaver)  version 1.0 is released!. Just see the first post of topic  8)

Special thanks to TomSkylark for the car model, RobertooMolvadoo for the CarName text loader feature and the time guided camera / zoom script logic  ;)

The virtual car presentation allows you to put your own car in the garage, also merge this showroom with your own games.

You can change complete ingame car model + car showroom name, sounds, music...
You can add the car showroom presentation as first or second part of your own game.

to test the game merging quickly, here are small game samples (how to merge it, read please the showroom package readme.txt files).

-----------------------

It would be nice to see some another modeler stuff in the showroom (DolphinLover30, cypermethrin, Sondre S., hypokill...?), please post some showroom screenshots... well if you like it, of course :P

The showroom is awsome Borek, sorry I I didnt have time to fit the model to the room, so I just replaced the files. I couldnt get the chrome details (around the windows and tail lights) in there either.
It looks kinda funny  ;D

good!
maybe I should to add yet, the (any) modeler exported mesh axis for ALL the parts should be same. so if you have the car good scale, including wheels, and world axis centered, exporting the needed car parts should be a piece of cake.

next post includes small GoogleSketchup export guide, I think the attached pictures can say more then lot of words.

Virtual Car Showroom user car import from GoogleSketchup (part I.)
just with few words and pictures. tools: GoogleSketchup + 3DRad export plugin

(1) load in the modeler your favorite car
(2) check the model scale (the flat guy or girl can help you). resize the model, if needed
(3) push the model to the regular axis for export to the showroom, if needed (check it with the top / side / front camera views)

Virtual Car Showroom user car import from GoogleSketchup (part II.)
the hard work: detaching the model to separate parts

(4) detach the model (explode)... to separate parts  ;D
you need to have the car body, car interior, car windows and car wheel-set.
note: if you are not able to detach easy a regular interiror mesh (like me), it can be a part of the car body.
