It depends on if Vsync is enabled. I got around 55fps with it on and 60fps with it off..

It's my workstation, so - huge Nvidia graphics card - 3.8Ghz Quad Core CPU.... a little over kill if you ask me.

Just downloaded the performance test and had a play, smooth running on my little 1.8Ghz single core lappy with nvidia Go6200 (pretty low spec machine).  Great graphics BorekS, really shows what you can achieve with this engine.

that sounds good, can you tell me, guys, what was the test game resolution?

btw the performance optimalisation give me lot of surprise each day.
yesterday I got "new" workstation, 2core 2.3ghz, 4gb ram, radeon x1550 256 ram, win7 64. just pure work box :)
well, I tested the 3drad stuff. the system wanted for dx9 dlls to run any 3drad game... I have no lust to install DX drivers on work pc, so I just installed old 6.50 3drad editor for test, and than all 3drad games runs. also the "uncut" F1LR ver 1.2b (actual public demo) runs there with 1024x768 (vsync off) on 55fps. nice.

the whole lag on some of end-user comps must be only problem with drivers. coz it is really strange to see 1 fps vs 60 fps on similar hw config machines.

I think that's not relevant... I love to play 3drad games at 800x600 in a 20" screen... I always do tests with that config... if you can run the game with more resolution, good for you, but 800x600 is more than enough.

I tried it. I played with 1920x1080 v-sync, 60 frames per second.  8)
I got an ATI RADEON 5750HD, intel dual core.

how do you get the terrain graphics, is it UV projected? I'm just using Sketchup so to get that I have to texture a flat plane and then sandbox it afterwards.
If there is a better way to get the terrain textures in Sketchup, can someone point me to a thread or something.
Cheers.

You should probably ask BorekS on that one; I didn't make this. I would suggest L3DT or another modeler, and possibly texture a road separately (can't help you with sketchup much, haven't used it in a couple years now).

Sorry Dart... lol get confused sometimes, cos I'm researching heaps of different threads at once. Cheers.

8) actually none of my 3drad projects have a mark "finished" and they maybe never will be, but it does not matter, it is a just hobby stuff. if I have enough free time to collect some bigger project update together, I will give it public then 8)
