hi,
the small mini game demo based on 3drad 6.50 (ODE physics). more about the project history you can see here.
note: please, do not await any super race thing, it is just one track with three cars and very crazy AI  ;) remember, it is not final game, there is soo many things, what I wanna fix, change and improve yet...
but I like it, maybe somebody of you will too  ;)

F1LR GAME DEMO version 1.2(b) is out, you can download it here.
note: if you have problem with game smooth running, you can try Performance test ver. 0.1.

F1LR: SPIRIT OF SPEED playable sample you can download here.
note: this sample do not present any final stage of game. It isnt a regular game demo, just a car physics public test file.

Sequel of the F1 Legends game project. New physical game model, created with the latest 3drad editor.
WORK IN PROGRESS... however you can try the game car handling sample ;-)

Plays very nicely now - really coming along.

One thing though mate - the tress weren't showing up in the demo. (I see them in the screenshots - and the shadows were there, but no trees)

Presume I can press a button to show/hide them?

Anyway, solid 60fps for the whole race.

Well done so far mate.

Wow.. I'm impressed.
The game sound effects are great. Everything is looking complete.

Like gimbarian was saying.. where are the trees? Did the v-packer eat them up? Haha.. just kidding. I don't know why the trees are gone... is it a bug?

Anyway, excellent job. Keep up the good work. :)

Very nice! Really very nice! Loading screen and bar looks cool, excellent HUD ingame, great models, nice sounds. But I didn't see any trees either. Ran it at a solid 60 fps. Keep it up!  ;)

i like the game, but havent tried, actually like the scrrenies,

a suggestion, try making a test of one furmulla 1 body and one Pcar body ( or car)

and see the diffrence

i bet the furmula body ( wheel object attached )
would work better

just give it a try :)

good luck testing
أهلا :)

nice loading screen...

no real menus... as soon as the game finishes loading you're already in a race before you know what's happening...

car movement doesn't seem natural...

nicely done rear view mirrors... but i think the rear cams should have a different fov... like the car movement, it doesn't seem natural...

i crashed into pole and driver cam view never came back, but i could see ready,set,go... and other car cams were available...

no trees...

no gear changing  is a big letdown for me, especially in a formula race game...

while the core of a game is almost there, i think the car movement needs work... and a few other things need to be looked at and reworked...

ok guys, I am back for a while here (family time), I will try look at the tree problem - downloading right now and I will try it on another pc. I will try fix it. must say, that without trees is the game ugly  ;D

EDIT: no trees too on the second pc. changed the tree shaders settings. changed the imposter object start logic. nothing helped. next pain with the small race game project. remains use the "manual" scripted impostering. but this way will be trees same size.

note:
this game sample is made with 3drad 6.50 = no pcar possibility, no camera usage for rear mirrors effect possibility.
this game sample is not any race simulation, it is just for fun  8)

the "manual" tree imposter script works at least, download link for the first post updated.

You mean the trees show up in the editor, but not the compiled project? And did you v-pack it? At what stage do the trees disappear?

Not bad project. One thing : steering wheel.
I think that you made 3 skinmesh and  just change it when we press left or right.

I think better use RiggidBody.(as steering wheel)

Just use joint and etc.  I think about it many time ago. It should work.
Use 7.22

Yeah, I think as well the steering wheel could be a bit better.

I don't think this makes any sense. Could you explain it?
