Just discovered a really neat tool for making trees... ( I know there is tree(d) from frecle out there, but this is a little different)

It runs in browser as html 5 and you can see your faces and poly count as you make your trees. Exports to collada and .obj

You have to reapply textures in your modeller or add your own textures though - but nice for making quick, beautiful trees.

I noticed there was only Audacity listed for music software... for budding musicians out there Sony.com offers various levels of audio software that is easy and visual for the beginner or pro. Also there are free weekly sound packs of short wav files used in composing loop-based music. I'm a fan of their software, and would recommend it for many uses including MIDI input to software synthesizers. It outputs to MP3, and possibly WAV. (Easy to find a converter if not).
