Just came across this site, it has free models, models to buy, a modeling application...
basically a lot.

Link:http://www.daz3d.com/

Just be aware that most of daz3d's stuff can only be used with the daz3d software. The license forbids it to be used in any other way.

And also bear in mind that most of the Daz assets are not real-time friendly to begin with...Even though I think there is a poly reduction tool that they came out with.

Yeah, guys, but remember...
These ARE just links: It's not like you're gonna pull up a tab for all of them. It was just a suggestion ;)

From the web-site:
With VoidWorld, you can

Create polygon based structured models.
UV unwrap models.
Bake various maps, like normal maps, AO maps etc..
Paint models in 3D environment.
Create skeleton animations.
Export/Import models with .x, collada, .obj, .3ds, .md5 and .smd formats.

* Cost is $0.00
* Easy to use (similar to fragmotion)
* Import and export (quirky but it works) animation or static models
* Very stable

Don't forget:
After you install VoidWorld, start it up, go online, then, copy and past the Reg code (it's
on the download page) into the Reg field (look under the 'Help' tab).

Take a look at deepMesh.

It is a 3D modeler with a bunch of features.

I see some have already noted Scuptris, but yet it's not in the list. I think it's a powerful but simple tool for making 3D models.
http://www.sculptris.com/download.phpl

There's also a simple plugin for Sketchup to import object files (Sculptris export models as *.obj).
Quote
This is a basic importer for .obj files.
It works sometimes, but not all the time.
The .obj needs to be fairly well formed.
It does not support textures.
SketchUp is unusable during import.
larger files can take a long time.

I found this little free gem recently called lightshot.

Comes as a desktop install -
http://lightshot.skillbrains.com/

or firefox add-on ( i have both installed) -
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search/?q=lightshot&cat=all&appver=3.6.18&platform=windows

It's a screen capture utility that pop's up when you press PrtScn(printScreen) button on windows.

You can -
 Upload and edit your screencap.
 Adjust the selection box size.
 Save directly to your harddrive.
Plus has Facbook & Twitter share options etc. .

All uploaded screen caps are saved online anonymously to Imageshack.
( there is a process to find and edit/delete any uploaded screen grab on imageshack, but it's a hack sort of, and not a built-in part of the lightshot program).

sample -

http://prntscr.com/3axj1

EDIT --------

Plus, when you edit(upload) an image online, your given options to save your image to --
  Your Computer
  imm.io
  pixir library
  Facebook
  Flickr
  Picasa

And the on-line editor has a "login" option so you can create an account if you wanted too.

I haven't done that myself, so i cant say what new options that may bring.

Second edit ----

when you upload ( not for editing, just for sharing), keep/bookmark the  prntscr.com link --example --
http://prntscr.com/3bek3
http://prntscr.com/3bebg

then later, you can add "/edit" onto the end of the link, and you can edit the image online --example --
