Thanks for the comments guys... Mike, the fov is set so i can see big portion of the stage for design/modeling purposes...
i have a question: how can i display certain info on the screen in 3D rad? I would like to be able to see:
- total polycount
- polys on screen at every moment
- objects on screen at every moment
- frames per second
- memory used for textures

can we script that? is it easy?

thanks in advance!!!

for frames per seconds you can use FRAPS for now  ( www.fraps.com ) there's a free version and it can record Videos too ( I guess you already use it ? ).

You can currently only get statistics about number of rendered pixels for each SkinMesh. For some others stats we may have functions in the future, but for some (e.g. memory used for textures) there doesn't seem to be any way to extract reliable information from the hardware currently  :-\

hey Adrian, thats amazing i dont know how i missed it... but it doesnt work with 3D Rad:

I am working right now learning too, I check the highway construction kit, is it possible to customize it to have nice roads ike yours. It is amazing. Make me think of F-Zero.

Hey Asterix,
the track you see in the demo video is entirely modelled outside 3D Rad (with SILO), i personally like to use 100% pure homegrown self created assets (or by my friends).. i guess its an ego thing, so i cant answer your question about the kit.
I'm sure its perfect for testing your models and physics though!

Oh it look easier to use than blender. Dose it support multiple animation into a .x ?

SILO is a subD modeler only, no animation or rendering.

Hi,

I posted a software in the past, wich is useful for the debugging of Direct3D applications .
It's called NVIDIA PerHUD ( now version 6.5 )

check out one of the player cars that will be available from the start... the model is UV mapped and prepared for texturing, but no real texture yet

here it is in real time 3D OSA

thanks for looking
