I didn't know 3drad supported soft shadows- or does it? In the sample of the Trabi, is the shadow static or will it work in real time (moving)?

it's "BAKED" as a lightmap

Excellent work Clandestine :) I love the Trabi :D looks cute ! reminds me of my old Fiat 128 :D

Fernando, do you have any information you can provide on the amount of video memory required to enable bloom at higher resolutions?

As you said, testing is the only way to determine minimum PC specifications for a project you make with bloom effect enabled.

Post-processing effects like bloom require an amount of video memory proprtional to the rendering window size. The amount is approximately 4 times bigger that the video mamory requied when bloom is not enabled.

Exactly what I wanted to know.  Thanks Fernando!

I have 256mb on my 8600M GT running 1280x900, but I can't run bloom effects with resolution greater that 1024x768

Hi again guys... time for a little update :)
First i would like to share some screenshots of the 3pod vehicle for G-racer* for the people that couldn't open the OSA (now removed)....

I found this while looking for source, is this the kind of look you are going for: http://www.carbodydesign.com/archive/2007/01/31-peugeot-concept-liion

Nice find Mic, this actually looks very close to my design... and i havent seen this one before... that proves one of 2 things, either the bastards have stolen my work :D :D or the noosphere is geting denser every day. Offtopic, 5 years ago i participated in the Peugeot design contest with a version of Crysalis (the yellow car from the youtube videos of the game), but i didnt get to the final 10 :(
Anyway to design the 3pod we were inspired by this, but i had the idea of the power-cells charging of the road, before seeing it... once again proving that everything is interconnected

Hi clandestine, would you allow us to use one of your images above for the home page? I mean the images from your game, not the Mazda concept car...

What happened to this? Did you stop to work on this game? If so, why?
« Reply #118 on: August 20, 2009, 02:38:15 PM »
i didn't... life just got to me, but be sure that I'll keep working on it, i have some new ideas now and I'm sure this will be the greatest arcade racing game since... since arcade racing games died :)

I'm discussing wit my friends another concept that could very well be integrated into G-Racer, or a spin-off... its a puzzle-racing game unlike anything you've ever seen :)

If anyone else made that claim, I would be skeptical. But seeing what you're capable of, I am anxious
