« on: May 25, 2013, 06:21:21 PM »
so i make cars in sketchup when i'm bored... most of them are pretty nice, but i just never finish them due to lack of motivation.. but the ones that i do finish are pretty good.

if anybody needs any cars made, let me know, i have tons of models that anyone is welcome to use if you ask, just let me know what you are looking for, and i can customize it for you if you let me know what you want

the truck i've shown here couldn't really be used in 3d rad in its current state since it's over 200mb right now and has a polycount of 82735. probably half of the polygons are from the engine and other small details that arent really necessary

yeah its really pushing the limits of sketchup... it usually takes about 10 mins to load the file... and then each save is a good 7 mins at least

Soo... could you save it as a different file then delete the small details that would be unnoticed and then tell us the poly count?

i got it down to 29k polys and it still looks about the same except from the bottom and the interior is not so detailed anymore (dashboard is the same though) file is now 193mb... umm.... yeah... thats an issue... but i'll figure it out eventually
