In true Professor Farnsworth voice... "Good news everyone!"

The uptake on the Rotary Gaming 70's challenge has sparked a revival of the development that had slowed on this.

New screenshots will arrive over the weekend, and the news that we will be jumping straight to V0.4.

There were some tiling issues and frankly weird sketchup texturing stuff that just didn't make sense.

But that has all been worked through now - and a quicker way of making the pieces means that the next version of this will be out soon (honestly - weeks, not months).  8)

Couple of quick shots of the new dirt track sections and grass texture. Yes people - there will be pieces that transfer from tarmac to dirt.

These track pieces have been massively optimised from the last release. All textures are 256 x 256 - made by my own fair hands and means no more drawing of tiles to make textures. At the minute - all tiles are 4 edges and 1 face.... very user friendly.

Grimbarian no offence but those textures are terrible.

Terrible for what purpose? Do you mean that they are not realistic?

I have always liked to make video games that look like video games - I don't buy into this making everything look as real as possible - hence the trackbuilder will do just that.

As I have said many times before - people will be able to substitute with their own textures should they choose too.

But as it stands at the moment - with the greater master plan - I'm perfectly happy with them, and happier in the knowledge that I haven't just taken them from somewhere else.  8)

Another quick post showing some of the offerings within the Trackbuilder. (I know cypermethrin...the car...the car)

Shadows have been disabled on the wall and fence while I sort the fence out a bit, and obviously the tree's are from 3DRad.

Hopefully this gives an indication how all items included will have the same look and feel. Meaning they all work together to give your tracks a consistent look in terms of artwork.
