Kudos 3
I just love that artwork. Can't get enough of it.
Contrast, layout, form. Beautiful.
This puts you on my "awesome" artists list together with psikoT.
Yep I have to agree, those are some stunning graphics. :D

thanks. actually our little boy was born a bit sooner we all "hypothesized" :) long story, for off topic thread maybe... but, back to "work" now ;)

today I can show finally the simple F1LR menu loader / screen scheme test, at least. there is one small thing: the menu background race track paint should be "ingame" shot. in future. I hope.
just notice, all this presentation stuff is just in a test stage.

Speechless... well, I'll just add that it looked rather professional. You know, what the companies charge some major $$$ for. Great to see this type of work coming from 3DRad.

Very very awesome! I envy your graphics talent!  ;)

I loved it how it said 'Your injured. The race is over for you.' Looks very good.

Just one thing... Isn't the loading time for the game a little long?

actually this sprited feature is the one thing, what is buggy. something wrong in the project code, coz the Reset race event works properly each time on second time only  ;D check the demo  ;)

Charlie told it to me too. Maybe I have a slow machine, but the loading time is same like the public demo, maybe shorter ;)

better would be to do it like Jestermon noticed = no separate menu project which loads the main game after.

pause today... but, to pump up some race track inspiration, I took a home self-made compilation / installer of popular GPL (2004 ver), which I did to keep for ages some personal game graphical improvements all together ;) wow, the ancient cd-r works yet! made 2006.

the GPL game originaly made in 1998 was brutal (well... a bit) HW hard at release time, but today can be it good example (the 2004 mod), how to made very low poly race cars and tracks. all there is about transparent textures mainly. this can be helpful for our 3Drad creation.

pictures of the installer from pure nostalgy attached. heh, seems the fonts and the backround sounds (well, you cant hear sounds), are very similar to the actual F1LR project stuff. how is it possible?  ;D ;D

actually, long time there was no PC game with old 60. F1 era cars, if I good remember. GPL was the only thing. then there was one, or two free mods for rFactor. god thanks, the rF2 and C.A.R.S. is comming with something.

oh, that is bad  :-\ I have this problem with lot of 3drad games /demos on my laptop and work pc (0-3 fps, or they want even load). but all works fine on my game pc.

you can try test some another performance demos (subs, sailing boats, zombie games, town traffic...). search the forum. what is your HW config (gpu, cpu, ram) and SW (XP, Vista, W7)?

in the early demos of this game without trees I had 40 fps or so.
My computer is a vista 1000 pc so its not for games anyway. :D
