Author Topic: Lunar colony models!!!  (Read 6430 times)

« on: May 16, 2010, 04:00:31 PM »
Yes, I did make these models. You can use them, just post credit somewhere if used commercially. I am actually using these for a project of my own, and will upload more models and pictures as I progress. You are welcome to elaborate, but this IS my first time really modeling. ;D

EDIT: I think I should say that I am actually making a cutaway model, and that is why the wall is missing. I could just as easily make a closed room.

Have a 3DRad problem? There's a topic for that.
(And if there's not, you can always make one.)

Did you read my post? "first time modeling." also, these are just basic frames. I have some more advanced models and will upload them when I am able; they are on another comp.

Are two lunar cans a can-can?

no better way to make better models than practicing the basics of the program you use.

from what it looks like, that room will not work unless you give the glass some depth(it's a single face). that is if you are planning on using it as a rigidbody.

also, sometimes other modelers can be better for some tasks than others.

here's a picture of 2 objects, one is about 15 minutes from wings3d (alien bunker thing i guess), and one is 5 minutes in sketchup trying to imitate the first (the simple plain bunker looking thing)

another tip: hit View->toolbars->large tool set
it has some useful tools in there that arent on the top row.
