Nice job, Leon  ;)

EDIT:In many fps games, you have a gun and the gun is animated or very detailed(first 1st person)... and when you approach enemies or players, you see their gun is not detailed or animated like your gun.(I think this is important for performance)
When we speak about fps online games, there are multiple cameras(i think)a camera represent an player...I know how to switch between players when you are dead, but I don't know how all players see their gun detailed and when they approach other player not which should be all very detailed or very undetailed. What's the secret?

If you don't understand I will put some examples.
Currently using 3d rad v7.12(hw)
pc specs:Core 2 duo e8600 @3.33 Ghz, 6mb cache
windows 7 32-bit
nvidia geforce 9500 gt 1024mb
4 gb of ram
160 hdd

What I say up can be applied(for all up)and for characters.Let's speak about cs 1.6.When you look down you will dont see your leg but other who looked at you can.I think this is how work the game: You are a 1st camera person, and others so.
Your models(character) are all hide for you, except the guns, but others your gun is hide and show your character.

EDIT:I couldn't create the project because will be an internet project and I cant test it because i have 1 pc.  :-\
Someone to make a project pls  ;D
