Amazing work Fourdee!!! The bike handling is perfect, man... this is better than extremeG and Wipeout!
Respect for the quality and dedication!

I actually owe you a lot for where i am now. Your "Killer Arcade Racer" http://www.3drad.com/forum/index.php?topic=1543.0 inspired me to try and make something visually special in 3Drad.
I love your visual style and attention to detail. Really something special, and, i wish i had you onboard as an artist/modeller!

So thank you Clandestine.

So much work to do, dont expect a beta for another year lol.
Thanks for all your kind words guys, gives me more reason to continue :)

This is the best project in my opinion ever made with 3drad! Well done fourdee! Though from the screenshot you posted last, looks like OE2 is going to be perfect for this project. Keep at it!!

Nice! Are you planning any more gameplay features, or are you basically going after the remaining levels after this?

If you want a suggestion (and I know this is a ton more work), it would be cool to have a flat grid level like in the movie. Make some panels that can flip your bike to the opposite side of the floor. Make some ramps going to multiple floor levels. Hook up the bikes in an online multiplayer match and have collidable trails coming from the bikes. It would be soo fun. ;D I know.. online multiplayer is a big deal, but still.. Hey, also, it would look cool to see a little motion blur on that tire. I remember a while back David testing that out so it might be a little more doable than my first suggestion.

Anyway, I don't mean to get you sidetracked as I know making a game like this is a lot of work, but maybe you could incorporate some of those ideas into your next level. Again, keep up the great work! The game is looking awesome.

Thanks Rush,

I love your ideas, will keep them in mind.
As you said, its alot of work and i've got a shed load to do before i can even think about multiplayer grid battles lol (although, they would be nice :)).

The motion blur is all setup for bikes/tires(object blur) and general camera blur, however, i'am waiting for Dave to resolve the current motion blur issues in the engine before i finalize it (trail masking/mesh masking issues etc).
Dave is really really busy, even after the engine is done, so theres no rush to get that turned on yet, and, i believe its a big job to rewrite the motion blur part of the engine :(.

In terms of features, i've just finished adding the code for bike weapons, which, i'am really pleased about. I'll post a video once i've done the mesh's and effects :)

Thanks everyone for feedback as always. I'll update this thread when stuff comes out :)

Of course, you've probably heard this alot, but, "when its done, its done" lol :)

So many things you can do in OE2, it really is endless. Until i've reached those limits, i'll keep on going!

Some screenshots of initial projectile weapons if anyone is interested:
- They follow/rotate with the track floor (similar to bikes)
- 410 imposters , 10 per bike
- if projectile hits a bike, lowers their energy, etc etc
- Just gotta sort out a better weapon mesh, not my strong point tbh.

Looking really good!
What will the aim be for the game?

Just laps and stuff, or will it be like battles last man standing kinda thing?
Keep it up!!
