i decided for a while im going to make some pcars for you guys and im currently working on a trophy truck pc car right now i gotten the skinmesh and the geometry but i need to get the geometry [body or rigidbody] to render as the shape of the car but so far i got it to render the top of the car correctly but on the side of the car when ever the ccar flips when turning to fast the car gets air born to high so as soon as i fix these bugs i wil post the trophy truck pcar.

Keep working on this one! And don't use anyone else's models this time.

i know how to make my own models but be warned the skinmesh of the trophy truck is from the google sketchup 3d warehouse all i did to it was modify it by deleting most of the detail like the engine, wheels, shocks, suspensions, axles, brakes, racing seats, steering wheel, and the other interior details, and modified the back. just to help speed up the loading time of the model. the part of the thing that i built my self was the rigidbody of the trophy truck.
but im not claiming the skinmesh of the trophy truck as my own

Instead of a rigidbody and skinmesh, you can just export the rigidbody as a generic DirectX file and save it as a .x file in the car or pcar's data folder. (Make sure it's not a shadow .x file!) Then add a car or pcar object and change it to the car that has the new .x file. Then you need to change the wheel offsets to make the wheels be in the right place. Or maybe you don't need a rigidbody. There might be a car that fits the skinmesh good enough.

Sketchup isn't a very good modeler for games. Google created it for people to make models for Google Earth. Better modelers are programs like Blender, 3DS Max and Maya.

Personally I think if you put the time on sketchup you can get some decent results, people are too quick to dismiss it...one of my early SU truck creation

Stick with it and believe me you will much more pleased with the end results if you make it yourself and leave the warehouse alone

cypermethrin, may I ask what tecnique you used? Did you extrude three faces representing side top, front and rear, and then intersect?
By the way, really cool truck :)
