Looks very nice, Mike !
I too want to implement lens flare (as a sun at least) into my space game, but I don't understand how it works, though I saw demos that comes with 3D Rad.

just delete all unnecessary objects from the demo and merge it to your project... you will also need to link your cam to the lens flare script... that's all... also you can tweak the script to modify the default flare
Yeah looks great mike. I have also messed with a space theme but it needs something like this to give the professional touch.

using the lens flare from the demo can be a real pain to adapt to your project...
i've simplified it a bit so that all you have to do is:
link it to your view cam,
check the script to make sure the viewcam object link assignment agrees with the one already listed,
maybe adjust the position of the lens flare focus from your viewcam...
actually, i chose only to use two of the lens flare sprites in the solar demo... and one of em i changed to be the sprite imaqe of the star... using all of em doesn't look real...
and then again, sometimes i think it does... maybe i need to revisit and adapt the logic for different situations...
anyways... here's the revised lensflare project... it uses default RAD stuff... just place it in your projects folder and merge it with current scene... then all you have to do is link the view cam to the lens flare script and check to make sure the ids are correct...
you might have to also move the position of the lens flare group object to accommodate your scene...
lemme know if you have any problems...
