Author Topic: Grass Shader  (Read 1267 times)

« on: February 25, 2012, 07:33:08 AM »
Hi guys! I'm realising a 4x4 cars game and I would improve it with an user add-on: the GRASS SHADER. There is anybody could help me? I would realise a grass shader like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QcdYVjyFVLs or this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8JQ--yA8iQs&feature=related.

When the game is over, I'll publish it on the site as a free resource, and those who have helped me 'll be included in the game credits.

Thank you in advance, users ;D

Hi users! Sorry for the trouble yet  ::), but I would like further information: How do I apply to the car the sound of the suspensions, when it climbs over an obstacle (such as in Test Drive Off-Road 3)?

Use the sound effect object. Uncheck the playing at start checkbox. Then use the event on contact object and link it to the sound effect. Then, in the event on contact object's property dialog set the sound effect to Stop On Contact. Then, in the event on contact object's property dialog check the Apply Opposite Action On No Contact checkbox.(Make sure that the car and the track are set to monitor in the event on contact's property dialog)

Also you might not have to create a grass shader. Here is a program that can create terrains with animated grass on them.
Artifex Terra 3D
