Author Topic: Animating your own gun model from sketchup.  (Read 1195 times)

Hi there  :P

You all remember when i posted a tutorial on how to get animated guns to 3d rad?

Well now, i know a way to make your OWN sketchup model use the same animations as the gun that has the animations.

PLEASE NOTE FIRST:

if you are using a pistol model (animated), your sketchup model MUST represent that model in some shape or form.
ex:  if you are using a usp model, then your sketchup model must be something like a handgun with a magazine.

Ok, now lets get started.

First go to http://www.gamebanana.com/

then browse for cs 1.6 skins. I used the skin here: http://www.gamebanana.com/cs/skins/104791

download the skin of your choosing, and go to sketchup.

Make your model in 3 PARTS:

1. THE CLIP

2. THE BODY

3. THE SLIDE

Group those three parts and put them together according to how you want it to look like.

Export the model to .x ONE GROUP AT A TIME. DONT MOVE THEM WHEN YOU ARE EXPORTING.

see attached post to see what i made so far.
