I have created a big city and want to know that if the light map increase the polygon or not. Is there any way to use the light map just using the single mesh. My game stage contain 80000 polygon and increasing. If I use light map then will it increase the polygons. I have used the gile for this after reading the forums...
3d rad is a great software, freshers are welcome and hats off to the experienced ones..

Thanks.
Thanks Everybody

I don't know how, but if your terrain has only one big texture, you can bake the lightmap on to it, this way you won't have any negative effects. No more polygons.

Usually lightmapping doubles your poly count.

After listening your Slayer: Seasons in the Abyss (cover) it comes out that you are a professional. Everything sounds perfect. I personally want to learn the guitar but have no time. Once again "OUTSTANDING"

I exported the stage using google sketchup and created normal map using blender but the only one normal map can be used by 3drad not all. How can I merge all the normal map into one so that they can be applied to all. The google sketchup export multiple texture of one skinmesh. If possible how it can be done using script that all the normal map can be used. Thanks

No problem.. I probably do not make the best moderator, and probably not the most helpful anymore, but I always like to stick around to see the latest creations with 3DRad. :)

Basically, you would normally split your 3d model by material, and then export each layer separately.

Or you can use a shader to map 3 colors and 3 normalmaps (look at the rgb2tx shaders).
