6.49 is not yet free, you have to donate 5$ to get it, or wait until next month

I just tested a clean install on my work pc

1. Installed 6.49 + the skinmesh patch
2. Installed Systemshaders1_shx
3. Installed SpotLights_shx
4. Opened and run the SpotLightDemo.3dr in 6.49
5. Closed rad.
6. Opened v7.02b
7. Opened and ran the SpotLightDemo.3dr in 7.02b

this was a clean pc, it all worked for me  ???

You need :

1. 3drad software (all these are still donorware)
=============

3DRad v6.49 + http://www.3drad.com/files/SkinMesh_patch_20100702.zip (replace the ones in your .\3drad_res\objects\skinmesh\   folder with these)
or
3DRad v6.50 no patch here
or
3DRad v7.10 no patch here

2. Addons :
=============

http://www.3drad.com/addons/files/SystemShaders1_shx.exe
http://www.3drad.com/addons/files/SpotLight_shx.exe (this one is dependant of SystemShaders1_shx)

Let me know if it works out...

Wait a sec, I think the SpotLight_shx.exe might be a bit funny afterall.
I'll supply a zip here.

Ok I can't believe that it's been up so long without anyone saying anything.
The installer on the addon page creates directories for every file it installs, which isn't correct.
I have fixed the installer now and it cleans up from the previous and installs the addon correctly.

Let me know.

EDIT: And sorry for the headache..  :'(

i'm testing Shad's SpotLights as a solution for lighting the interior of the sub...

i was going for lightmapping, but there's just too many parts (even where combined when possible) and it's becoming toooooo much of a pain...

the spotlights used as point lights seem to offer a really nice options...

(it would be really great if these "lights" could throw some shadows as well...  ;)  just a thought)...

check out the attached screenies below...
