I started a series of new blender 2.5 tutorials, aimed at game modeling. Here is part 1 basics (in HD). Shortcuts used are in the description.

I love the new interface for blender 2.5x, in makes it easy enough for anyone to use. Nice one Daniel.

Update. Now it also contains a tutorial how to model, unwrap, texture and 3d paint a spade!
I will start the tutorials for rigging, animation and export to 3drad soon.

Done! Proportional selection, Rigging, Skinning and basic Animation are now available. So do I need to make a blender 3drad import tutorial, or are the notes at the end of video "Blender 2.56 step 5 modeling a spade part 2" enough?

Eeexcellent.
I'll get back to you about the potential need for import tutorial when I am awake again tomorrow (well, later today, ha!).

You can orbit a camera by adding an empty object and setting the camera parent to the empty object. Next add keyframes to the empty object, so that it rotates arround.
Pole target to set the direction the IK moves to (a new bone). If you make the armature, you can also bend the bones in the right direction so the IK knows what way the bending will be done.
(again I will explain later in a video tut)

Little tutorial on making a scattered forest in Blender:
Make a terrain and make some trees, all as single objects. Add all the trees to a group (in object tab).
Next select the terrain and in the Particles tab add a particle system. Now it uses the terrain as an emitter.
In the particle settings under Render select Unbord and Died. In Physx click on No. Set the number of particles.
Under render click an Group and select your group to duplicate. Now you have a terrain with scattered trees.
Now they need to be editable objects. Hit the Spacebar and enter "make duplicates real". Now you have an editable forest.
