Author Topic: .X file animation flips aside  (Read 909 times)

« on: November 13, 2009, 09:18:20 AM »
Hi,

I'm just started using 3DRad, and tried to follow this tutorial: http://www.3drad.com/character_01.php.
I've exported an animated .x file from milkshape, (it was made from a half life smd file, and contains only one animation: running). The MView utility plays it well. I made a skinmesh object, as it is in the tutorial, I've replaced the 000_mesh.x. When I insert it into 3DRad, it shows up well, it's standing. But when I play it, my man is laid on his side, while the animation is playing. Actually it dies before the game even started  :) .
So I think it's a kind of axis rotation problem, but I don't know how to solve, or what tool to use to fix, while the MView, and DirectX viewer shows it well. I tried to compare it to the andro.x , but I can't see the difference.

Has anybody experienced this?

Thank you for the suggestion, it is a nice software, I'm going to use that. But my problem still exists with it, the "default pose" is standing, but the animation played 90 degrees rotated by the X axis. In all of my viewers and editors it looks good, but in 3DRad.
