Author Topic: Blender keyframe export- need help  (Read 2170 times)

Hi, I just made a cloth flag animation using blender's physics. But I'm having trouble getting it to do two things:
Export multiple keyframes to .x files
Export as double sided mesh

I would really appreciate any help on this.

Yes, I can export them individually, but that's alot of exporting...lol I was a bit concerned about the animation not looping perfectly, but I suppose a little guess work wouldn't hurt.

3DRAD does not support double sided meshes
Yes it does..  well the sketchup exporter does.. Idk how it really works though

Do you know any physics simulation solutions that can produce bone based animations? I'm not sure how to animate a flag without any physics to use. What would you suggest?

It needs to be a triangle flag like this one:

True, and it might be misleading that the sketchup export plugin has an option to export as double sided skinmesh. Like I said, I have no clue how that actually exports the model... I'll have to look into that once I get back on my home computer.

I'm curios now on whether blender does bone animations. I might try fragmotion too if I don't find any solutions. However, blender makes very nice animations using the physics. I just might want to experiment with making a loop guessing at wich keyframe would best complete the loop animation.

Thanks sunchirp
