Hey jason, I actually had fun with this one.  Is the city one big terrain or are the buildings separate, or is it chunked into blocks?

Constructive criticism:  The building height combined with your camera angle make corners very tricky!

Dude, easy with the CAPS LOCK!  It's too loud for my eyes.  I'm downloading, but rapidshare slows it down...takes 3/4 of an hour to get it.

no problem :)

You got some big polys on the bridge, car almost wants to fall through.

Also on the bridge theres some transparency probs.  Drive across bridge and then drive back and watch your buildings start to disappear.   :o

Maybe tone down the cameraman shaking effect.  It's too Blair Witch Project.   ;D

Hold up Jason...... Why so quick to make such a rash decision?

Ive looked at your game, and I like it. The town is similar to an idea that I worked on for a little bit. Here are a few comments:

  • work on the camera's. the closeup camera makes me sick from moving around soo much. And the far away camera looses the car behind the buildings.
  • The town it self looks great and does what it is supposed to do.
  • The car goes flying if it hits the curb, not sure how this can be corrected. Maybe do less height difference between the curb and the road.
  • The texture on the streets and buildings look great
  • Maybe work with the trees, they look a bit flat
  • If you have a long bridge like that, maybe consider having a reward to have patience to drive to the end of it :)
  • Its not too clear what the goal of the game is. Is it that you need to hit the opponent 100 times?
  • Not sure what it is, but 100+ MB of download for a 1 level game is a bit high. Maybe look at condensing something that will make the file download a bit smaller
  • So far a good start of what will become a great game
  • Maybe shoot missiles rather then to shoot the solar system

You asked for comments, I gave them :)

@Loop. What has gotten into you lately........ Relax a bit.

Hey jason, I think your download is so big cause you got A LOT of resources that aren't being used in your project.  I was going through the 3drad_res --> car object folder and found ALL of the car files that come with 3drad.  Remember to reopen your project in the editor after your last save to optimize your project before compiling.

Loop...whats going on with you...dont seem very community oriented...

Sharp...thanks for the feedback...i know those damn curbs will make you fly...
the entire city is actually a ridgebody....i found it on the internet and used it as my terrain..so the curbs i dont know if i can fix them...

the cameras yea i can fix easily...i did the drunken camera to make it harder... but i could tone it down a little...and the skyview i could bring in a little closer also...those building are a little hard to avoid though....

those trees actually came with the city ridgebody...i know they look aweful..
but since the ai car really doesnt go near them but once i just figured on leaving them alone for now...

yea the bridge, a reward...lol....well i figured that no one would drive to the bridge...cuz the path of the AI car doesnt go near it....Unless you just go wondering off looking at the scenery...

hmmm...thought the goal was kinda clear...but like i said before...this is still being worked on...and usually i will only upload finished versions of games and they would of course include a loading screen on which Objective and Controls of game are displayed there while its loading...so the objective would be clear in my finished product....

I know that the file size is overly huge...but i really think it is the City terrain as i just looked into that it shows that its about 45mb's...but when i compile it i dont know how to make sure that it doesnt load all the other objects into my finished project...hmmmm maybe you know how...

and as for the missiles...ya you could call me lazy on that one...i can get missile's and not planets...that shouldn't be to hard...

any other objectives that you could think of please let me know as all it is right now is chasing the computer oppenent untill you reach your score of 100...

Really appreciate the detailed feedback from you.....
