OK, this is more for curiosity purposes, but how feasable would it be to make Point Light imposters?

I don't think they are feasible unfortunately. Point lights don't really exist. Lighting is a 'feature' of each SkinMesh object. Basically it is achieved by rendering its surface by using the PointLight object position as a merer reference. All happens in the shader you set in the property dialog for the SkinMesh object.
