Author Topic: NEW! Helicopter complete!  (Read 5529 times)

Hey guys!

I've finally finished the helicopter. It has a near-to-perfect hover, and all the controls are complete. Later I'm going to add a skinmesh to it and post that so you can see it. Do whatever you want with it. Add it to your game, and you can add AI to it. Later on I'll make some missiles for it, and post that too. Maybe a homing missile example. Attached it below.

Thanks! And Yeah, I was thinking about using WASD for the throttle and panning. And adding autobalancers. I guess I'll work on that. In the mean time, you'll find it easier if you use your thumb for [C] and [X], and your left forefinger for [D] and your left middle finger for the "S" key.  ;D

I made a helicopter a while back using rotorblades and airfoils (physics based like a real heli)

Wow, it's crazy your using all those force objects. What about the tail rudder or wing? It doesn't seem like those are in effect. Well, I really wouldn't know since I've never piloted a real helicopter. Autobalance would really be a nice upgrade tho. :)

when you are given a body to the helicopter? because I can not. ???

if you put it but does not stay attached to helicopter ;D

attach it to the rigid body of the helicopter only. That way it should stick to the heli no matter what.
