It's nice and fun 
but I doubt that real-time chatting can be used to actually exchange useful technical information. Tech info by its nature requires realtively long pauses to think, test etc before you can reply.
Also, the forum already allows 'fast chatting' somehow where needed if people is there at the same time.

also, when you post here (the forum) the info stays forever and anyone -no matter how far in the future- can use it/contribute, something that unfortunatly dosnt happen in a chatroom.
