Well i'm an idiot.  I tried copying all the 3dradres files to my documents but that failed.  I didn't know it failed and i uninstalled 3drad to try to re-install it again and i lost all my files and projects.  Is there any way to recover my lost projects i worked on for so long?  Thanks for the help.  >:(  :(  ???

well lessons learned..

First off, if you uninstalled 3drad, im not to sure but i think your custom projects and resources should still be in the original folder.. i don't think 3drad can delete them if they're not the original files installed by 3drad...

So open windows browser and check that folder..

If your files are there, just reinstall 3drad into that original folder and you're good to go again..

For future reference..

If you have an issue with 3drad and want to re-install just install over top of the original folder and you'll have a fresh install with all your projects and custom resources still intact.

if you moved them as you say you did move or did you just copy them...

As long as you haven't deleted them... re-install 3drad ( same folder as before) if needed copy or move the files back into 3drads original install folder.. where you just re-installed 3drad.

also...

If you didn't overwrite your project there will be a copy in 3drads undo folder..

3drad>3drad_res>system>undo

you may need to use *.* to show these files when trying to load the projectname.prj  then sort them to show the newest modified projects at top.

one of these projects will have ( hopefully) the missing project your looking for.

also once you find it ( if ) make sure to save it to it's original or atleast to a new project filename in your projects folder ( very important to do this) or 3drad may overwrite the undo file.

and just thinking.. even if you deleted the project files.. there may be copies in windows trash folder that you can "put back" ( undelete).. BUT this all depends on what you did to the files and folders...

If everything has been deleted... don't cry to hard.. we've all been there, done that, got the tee shirt,  .... and had to rewrite a project or 2.

Hello, you can make backups of your projects and store them in the cloud, such as:

1- Mediafire www.mediafire.com/
2 -Dropbox  www.dropbox.com/

- Thehades24
