Im not using 3d rad at all (because i take Unity3d). BUT! When i take Unity i take a look on some things (how to realise it in 3d rad).
And i start to play with Dirty Lens(3d rad) just for fun...i set shaders and material and control point light...
And this is result (just TEST)

plus:
- my method don't reduce FPS
- you can control point light ( from what will be DIRTY effect)
-dont need use new post pr.. (bloom and etc)
-don't need make transparent material
But its only test form=)
