Author Topic: Problem with my textures  (Read 94 times)

hi :)

first at all have a good day :P and sorry for my english

now i have a problem with 3d rad or RadImp... i create my object in lightwave, then export to .x format, then i place it in the RadImp's "import" folder... i refresh the list (in RadImp) then i chose my object and i click in the "ed Radimport" button (RadImp) i chose "import skin mesh (visual, shadow)
i chose my jpg in the index folder.. click OK and all its just perfect :) "Skinmesh import OK"

well when i adding to 3d rad project it load mi object but without the texture, even when the texture is in the same folder..

i tried with the d3d DXView and its the same... load mi object without the texture so... there is something i missing :( can you please help me?

i fix the the problem, something with the name of the texture in the .x file but now....
there is other problem... 3d rad distorts my texture...
i attach 2 images..

the first image show how it look, the second show how it should be

I don't know if this helps, but when I UV map stuff in sketchup with sketch UV the textures in 3d rad are distorted unless my .x mesh is triangulated. If there are any four sided (or more) polygons in the mesh, the textures are warped on my models. you should try and replace any such polygons with 3 sided ones.

Hi impheris, I would say it is a problem with the lightwave export to .x

Never seen this before.
