over a year ago a few members went through a discussion of running videos in 3DRAD...  at the reference i pointed you to there you'll find  the simplest most straight forward method...

i'm sure there are other ways... anything from converting video to anim gif or other frames to creating a dll and hosting a player... but they'll involve a bit more work and resource than i think it's worth...

i'm busy now with several other 3DRAD projects, and video playback in rad is not on my list of priorities at the moment... but i'll take a look at your project when i get some free time...

Thanx for your attention Mike!

Two  reason that why I post this project, it's that you don't need to separate video on picture and it's work in full screen game mode))

Problem your idea is that in your project video don't work in compil. Mode  , but this method work in compil mode and in full screen))

Yes, project use bat file but its not the main idea)

You don't need dll, separate, or other hard method you just need vid ,bat file and script)))

that's not correct...  the project i pointed you to works both in the fullscreen mode and from a compiled project as well...

the person who said that it didn't work didn't have the correct folder pointed to when their project was compiled, and if i remember correctly, the command prompt has switches for fullscreen...

the first thing most people will do when they can't blame something to work they way they expect it to is to find blame somewhere else other than themselves...
it works, i assure you...

I checked this and  it's not work for me)  but maybe your right but for me its not work

I don't mean that vid not work in full screen,  I mean that's it s not work when 3d rad in high resolution and in full screen,  not when 3d rad in windows mode

it does work in the full screen mode... but you'll have to use the windowed full screen mode if you want the program to switch to another window contest while 3DRAD is running...

3DRad doesn't allow the context to be lost when running full screen... it will crash if you alt/tab out to any program while running fullscreen...

i just took a look at this... THIS IS NOT RUNNING 3DRAD FULLSCREEN while a video is running...
and it certain is not running a video inside 3DRAD...

when i ran it here, 3DRAD shut down, the Bink Player ran the video in a off-centered window, and when done it RELOADED 3DRAD with the full loading screen...

how do you see this as running a video in 3dRAD fullscreen...

hey, it's a neat trick... but it's nothing special, and it's certainly nothing new ( i think someone else tried something like this a while back)...

and it really doesn't look that good...

anyone could do the same thing with a simple batch file...
you are fooling yourself if you think you're running 3DRAD full Screen with a video inside it...

I said that's it's trick)

You wrong that anyone can make it, because there are not only bat file...

At this moment it's better method but I want know more

And I sure that not all can run vid in full game mode, because all depend from settings in bat file,  if you write 1 and 1 , not 0,99 0,99 it never be work... Was about 15 test for rich this result

And If your write " full screen" it's too never be work, you think that's all so easy??? If so you don't know how many test we make

anyone can do it... i just ran the bink player by itself, without running 3DRAD first...  and it ran the video, then loaded up 3drad after the video was done...

maybe i'm missing something, but what's the big deal with that....
