Now what do you mean with a 'menu like this'? Like one with... Buttons?

2 ways spring to mind -

1. polygon skinmesh with as many sides as menu options, icon on each side, rotate to move options
2. 4 animated sprites, all the same, each frame is a menu option. To move option slide them all across, move the one from the left that goes off screen to the right to come on screen and change its animation frame to the next icon

Thats 2 ways of many, see what you can come up with - the idea behind this game making thing is you get an idea and then try to come up with a way to make it happen - try it

I wrote this big rant but realized I may not have understood.  I hope I read the part that says "don't need script."

Are you really suggesting you will make that kind of game menu without using a script?  Please tell me I'm wrong in this assumption...

Theres pretty much always a way to make smth without a script, you just gotta be clever and think outside the box, but writing a script for smth is usually easier than finding a way to avoid the scripts.
