This thread is closed..
And so is my account..

I've had 3 accounts on this
forum. I've given this forum so many
chances. Too much bullshitting about
everything.

If you don't have 124 years of experience
with 3D Rad, don't ever.. EVER .. make a
thread. You will be punched in the face
with old threads and critisism. (Often)

This was my experience..

Good job 3DP :D

How's your FPS coming along?  I played below zero btw and enjoyed what you had done so far!

Thanks Sorv :)

My fps is starting to take shape. It now has machineguns and a working gamemode, ctf or Cafture the Falg (sort of).

Thanks for feedback about Below Zero! I really appreciate it :)
I'll finnish the new update of BZ soon. I'll let you know when its finished so you can play it (if you want) :)

I do want.

We have to encourage each other as developers if we're going to rock this community with our creations.  Maybe we can help each other.  I'm a great designer and artist and you seem to have a grasp on making multiplayer work.

I say Yes to your suggestion.
I can teach you about my multiplayer techniques
and maybe you can do some modelling for me?
I'll send you my Skype and we can talk more :)

i don't understand what you're talking about here Pred...  making a client game work fullscreen... can't you make any project open in any resolution that you want...

ok... first of all...  do mean Fullscreen mode or FullscreenWindowed mode...

I think what he's saying is that he got the login window to appear while the client window is in full screen.  My best guess...

yeah... but, it's nothing new...   i don't understand what the big hubbub is about... ok, maybe i'm missing something... lemme try to explain....

there are 2 fullscreen modes... the actual FULLSCREEN mode, where, if you lose the window context your 3DRAD will crash...

... and there's a WINDOWED FULLSCREEN mode that allows other apps to take control of the screen, so that another window can have the focus.

the reason why he couldn't get the search dialog above was because he was using the FULLSCREEN mode above... his changing the windowed.ini file opens his 3DRAD app in the WINDOWED FULLSCREEN mode...

that's all...

seems legit eh...

what r ya... deaf... dumb... blind... or all three...

it's a fact...

it's been a fact for quite a while now...

if this is what he's talkin about, then it's nice that he's discovered it... but it's nuthin new...

Well, I am a fan of full-fullscreen anyway, so I'd benefit from this no matter who figured it out....................................................
« Reply #12 on: July 29, 2013, 06:04:04 AM »
it doesn't matter who figured anything out... there aint no prizes or money being handed out ...

what matters is that you understand why you are doing what you're doing...  and the implications of those choices...

windowed fullscreen mode protects a 3drad app from being brought down by an inadvertant popup window caused by the system or some other app running, whereas fullscreen  makes your app liable to such...

this is an example of the facts  that mindless fanboyism tends to overlook in their bliss... and this is why i'm posting what i'm posting...
