It's just more of a reason to optimize your game. Yes, integrated graphics suck, especially for gaming, so if you can get this to work, that will be pretty impressive.

Still, it looks good as it is.

Have you considered using the GUI object to have a way to set the amount shown in game?

Currently using 7.22

Ah no im not put off that easy by comments, you dont get to 39 in the IT business without a few thrown at you now and again. :)
But just as a point the uploaded video has its own fps so its hard to gauge the actual running there, but yes the lower spec (512mb card) is just for now and to give the general idea. If i did use my higher spec machine for testing it would be hard to tell if im optimizing 3drad performance or not.

Yes Dart im using that GUI to first off allow you to virtually "paint" vegetation which will in turn drop a file with object (x,z)'s, scale etc plus, which will be read by script etc and this im still working on,  grid the objects into arrays for better culling. So for example you could virtually paint boulders, grass and trees on the maps skin texture in the GUI and they will appear in 3drad, just a way for me to save time really.

Sorvius its a 56poly object and im hoping Grimbarian that its works well enough for anyone to use it.

Sounds very interesting Michael - good luck with it all. Eager to see what you come up with.  :)

Thanks for the support Grimbarian, but did you ever get that feeling when something just sounded so simple to do until you went to do it ;)

56 POLYS?!  For grass?  Was that a typo?  I could get the same look with 6-10 and even that's being liberal.  You can improve performance by relying more on the texture quality for vegetation.  People will like your game if its good even if they happen to notice that your fauna is done cheap :)
