Hi everybody :)

I wanna show you my last project, its called Revolucion: La historia de Argentina in Spanish (Revolution: The story of Argentina), it's inspired in one of the most important book of argentina culture, the books is called "Martin Fierro". The book show the culture of the people in 1800-1880, and the customs of the "Gauchos" (the gaucho is like a cowboy in the western history). I will try to represent the civil wars of that moment, and the most important persons. The game will be a third person shooter, but i wanna change the camera view that i was using on my frustrated game (dragon mission ;D).

Here some pictures:

The player and the camera view in game:

And a building of the age (unfinished), a "Pulperia" (it's a bar, you know, play cards, play guitar, sing and get drunk like the hell ;D)

And here is a picture of the Gaucho:

I will try to show the progress of the game. Hope you like it :)

Here some progress. In the first picture you can see the "Pulperia" finished, I did the windows transparent and the lights in the walls with the candles.

And here 2 new models, The first soldier, called "Patricio", is the soldier of Argentina, and the second, the English Soldier

And here is the first level, unfinished of course ;D

Here you will be fighting in the First English Invasion, the first part of the Chapter 1 the Chapter 1 contains 3 parts, The First Invasion, The Reconquest and The Second Invasion.

Well, not a lot of progress but it's something ;D. Later i will try to translate the story of the first Chapter.

Nice work, is it a top down perspective or like an arma 2 third person perpective
« Reply #10 on: July 12, 2013, 11:12:08 AM »
a top down perspective, because i can make very low poly models or very simple textures and in that angle isn't necessary make detailed models. If i show you how the models are textured from a close view you will see a lot of mistakes in the textures ;D

This is really well constructed. Your textures match really well and you've kept to a nice clean color pallet. Its very professional low poly or not, models match really well too. I find in hard to match my textures, some too realistic some too cartoon like its basically what makes a game convincing or not.
