Author Topic: Tip requested: Hi-speed car shaking  (Read 585 times)

« on: June 15, 2013, 06:09:50 AM »
I'm developing a racing game with single-seater F1 based cars, so my car is made of a Car (SportsCar) (hidden car body, no particular change on the settings), a SkinMesh with the chassis, a SoundSource, a CamChase and a Group. The circuit was created within Sketchup 8 and exported on 3DRad.
I was wondering, how can I prevent my car to shake when driving at an high speed? The previous version of my video-game had a different circuit but exactly the same kind of car.
Please notice as my car's maximum speed is set on just 2, as the acceleration and braking power. I'm running with a 2WD (rear engine).

If you are using the old 6.5 instead of 7.22, that would be the problem. ODE physics engine has that high speed problem, but physX does not.

Currently using 7.22
