In this tutorial, we are going to create a short "video" sequence using the Sprite object.

Before we start, here are the required programs you need to make a video sequence:

-Sony Vegas Pro 11: http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/vegaspro

-Photoscape: http://www.photoscape.org/ps/main/index.php

-VirtualDub: http://www.virtualdub.org/download.phpl

All of these are free except vegas, but you can download a free trial.

First, we need some raw footage. I decided to just use an old video of mine from awhile back.

Then open your desired footage in sony vegas.

Then go to File>Render As>Image Sequence then choose jpeg.

Rename it anything you want and hit render. Make sure you render in an empty folder.

This will take some time....

After rendering is complete re-render the audio ONLY. To do this go to File>Render As>Wave (Microsoft)

Then choose 44100 Hz, 16 Bit, Mono, PCM.

Then hit render.

This should only take a little while.

Specs:
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit
Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) II X4 640 Processor (4 CPUs), ~3.0GHz
8GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti
DirectX Version: 11
Hard Drive Space: 465 GB

Now you have everything you need, but we are far from done!

Next, go into photoscape and choose rename.

Then a window should appear with all the rename parameters.

Since 3d Rad sprites use frame by frame image sequences, it requires you to rename them by number, starting from 1.

For example, it would be 0001.jpg, 00002.jpg, 0003.jpg and so on. The problem? Well there are hundreds of pictures, it would take FOREVER to rename them all, so we'll use photoscape to do it for us.

In the little renamer window, pick add, browse to the folder where your sequence pictures are, then select them all, and add them.

Now for this bit, just copy the settings that I have in the image below:

Then hit convert.

Instead of using Vegas, could we use after effects? Would that work?
