People are still reading it, but maybe they don't know what to say, which hasn't already been said!
You've done a great job, keep it up!

Thanks! When lot's of people are reading the thread, it means that they're interested in seeing how this turns out.

To clarify about the end of the thread, It's only the end when you finish it or quit it (no way I'm quitting making it now! I've done too much to give up!) as some people say.

This thread won't have stuff related to the planned sequel, only Ninkeo Kart 1 stuff. The planned sequel, Ninkeo Kart II (NKII), may feature weapons of mass destruction, revamped game engine (hopefully I'm going to try and make both a 3D Rad and a 3DFoundry Engine version) and other stuff...

The SDK has it's own instruction manual for modding the game. It's essentially a guide to start using 3D Rad as well since it contains the basics on how to use it.  :)

Some update news guys.

I'm currently trying to make playing multiplayer over the LAN/Internet. If you've had experience with networking in 3D Rad, its a real pain in the ass to make it work properly especially using the PCar object. It MIGHT be part of the next update after 0.41, but with no AI Cars.

its actually the only important thing for me I was asked before.
if your game includes a working / playable multiplayer, which was mentioned...

every 3drad game with really working MP is potentionaly big hook stuff. even for one server and one host player. we can forgot to play with any AI and just race a track, sharp curved or not doesnt matter, your opponent is a real human :D

I am sure you understand me, why I am talking about sharp curved tracks  ;D

Well then, lets get this show on the road!  ;)

Update 0.41 is incoming soon! As usual, the changelist is below.
Quote from: Ninkeo Kart Changelist 18/01/2013
Added multiplayer for Flying Cartwheel Raceway, Rezway, Space Highway and Snowy Hill
Freeplay menu is updated and with more tracks available
Because it's such a small update (only a few project files updated/added), I'll have it as an "extract to 3Drad_res" type patch.
BE SURE TO DOWNLOAD v0.40 BEFORE YOU APPLY THE v0.41 patch!

The patch is done, but more bad computer luck follows.

My gaming computer has viruses all over the hard drive. It's bloody annoying because of all the work I've done on this game. Plus my internet is slow as hell too!  :-\

So the game is on hold for a long time. If this thread expires, you'll know where to find the new one.

EDIT: Found a backup copy of my 3D Rad taken straight after the 0.41 patch was compiled. It's great news and you guys should have a party.  :D I might also do a NKII prototype as well.

Update 0.41 is out now! Use the link in the OP to get it.  :)

I've noticed with the ConfigureControls object, you only need to configure it once (a noob finding I guess). Update 0.42 will have the configure controls added to every menu. (GP Selection menu, SP Menu and MP Menu)

There isn't many bugs at all really, only two. The Change Controls button doesn't hide when the game is resumed on some tracks. (All on freeplay tracks). The other is that the buggy isn't playable at all yet.

I've decided to take Ninkeo Kart to the Beta period. Starting next update, I'm going to polish up the game, and get it ready for v1.0 release around mid February - early March. This proves that Ninkeo Kart is going to be one of the low amount of games that actually made it to final release.  :)

I'll say it now, but I thank you guys for trying each of the releases and telling me of the bugs that are in each of the updates. Each of my members on my forums (yes, even oldnoob but he's explained everything over PM) have downloaded it as well.

Oh and before I forget, I'm going to build the SDK for you guys to use right now. It includes it's own copy of 3D Rad, so it doesn't break or clutter up your installation of 3D Rad (I don't know if I should really do that or not). Happy game making! ;)

The SDK is uploading right now! The only thing you need to have is 512MB disk space on your computer and a 7z extractor. It includes 3D Rad (which I think is actually illegal, but I am unsure) so no need to extract resource files.

GET 7Zip here: http://www.7-zip.org/download.phpl

Not very relevant to the development of Ninkeo Kart but its still interesting.

Getting out my old data records and stuff, the Ninkeo Kart game has had a total of 119 downloads (as of 28/01/2013 @7:09PM) since the whole idea started as the Mario Kart racer game I made (http://www.3drad.com/forum/index.php?topic=6152.0 and can be downloaded at the website). Thats all updates from every version of the game added together. 2+1+18+9+15+3+11+20+5+6+10+19

Grats :)

We all start somewhere. It feels good to look back at your old work, sometimes you can shock yourself how far you've come.

If you keep making games, each one will get better and better. Learn new skills each time. Before you know it, you could have over a million downloads :)

Thanks! I've made games with 3D Rad before, but this one's the first I'm going to finish. :)

The monthly update for everyone.
At the end of this month / early March, the finished game will be released. To celebrate this event, there will be not one but TWO releases of Ninkeo Kart.

The first is obviously the v1.0 update to all of the pre-releases that I've released. The second will bring memories back from the past.

Remember the original team version of Ninkeo Kart? I have the source project files and resources on a hard drive and I am going to finish it off. It's name will be ninkeoKART Classic (an older version of the newer game, it has cars instead of karts, different tracks and some tracks have items). This one will come out around 21 days after the newer version.
