I think, it is not necessary. just take some texture, add a line, make it smooth, bolder and save it as new texture.

good is, Inkscape can save the vector based objects to some useful formats, like SVG, DXF, PS... so there is a possibility open it then in some modeler to make it 3d. for example useful for the road barriers with same shape like road.

all this things you can do with Adobe Illustrator of course, for exapmle. but Inkscape is for free  ;)

said already enough to understand...
you need some paint program. I use Inkscape. here you load or make some texture as background (bottom layer). I used 3d rad default terrain texture.
over this layer you will do with some mouse clicks few dots for a simple line. then you set the smooth of the line (ugly line to nice curve). now remains make the line optimal wide, to simulate some road. done, now you need  save it back as texture file.

oh, thanks :)

this time I can show here first driver body in the car, ingame, including Steves face.
no steering wheel yet, no textures, and if yes, then not the final paint  ;)

Don't you think that roll cage looks a bit short?

It would make me feel bad if that car flipped upside down. :o
