Where did you learn 3D modeling?

^^that explains it all.
Did you learn it in college? Self taught? Maybe read a book about it? Or watched some online tutorials?
If you watched online tutorials, link??

i downloaded Silo 2. I opened a model someone had made and destroyed it.

self taught, trial and error. There are tutorials if u like that thing, but i find its best to jump in and just focus until you learn from your mistakes :)

I started back in high school in 1988 in computers, in 1993 at F.S.U. for 2 years and since then wing it myself using lots of the programs out there. Poser 6, 3DS Max Studio 9, Fragmotion, Maya 6, Terragen, Macromedia Studio/ Dreamweaver Studio, Jasc PSP Pro 8 with Animation Studio, Silo, Unity, UDK and a few others.(about to get a copy of Rage Engine soon through a friend) No updates to them as I dont have my license anymore so I work with what I got, except ill upgrade the less than $100 ones one at a time.
I have done 3D rendering and made a few animation videos, nothing spectacuar (or on this new PC yet) Now working out the rusty kinks on some of them to make a game or two.
"This town is infested with Killer Cockroaches!"

You have 3 options: Good, Fast, and Cheap. Pick TWO.

Well to be honest I know how to and I can model but the good quality models I find very hard.I've always been good when it comes to logic but I've never been creative enough to make them. That's why I'm always the brains behind an idea and someone else is my slave who makes it. :)

I got 3dsmax version 5, 10 years ago on a Twilight (illegal) cd from a friend. I already did a lot with Photoshop for websites, but I wanted to learn 3d. The sample 3d pictures were very stimulating. 3dsmax was very complex, but I read the manual and step by step I learned everything. While making games I was inspired to learn texturing, rigging, animating and sculpting. Finally I reached the point of getting a littlebit serious in 3d. 3dsmax was way out of my budget (I think it was 10.000 euro) and I started my quest for other modeling apps. I used Silo for a while, but it was a too big step for me to learn and lacked a lot of usefull stuff. I did try out maya just for fun. Luckly blender started with a new version that looked a bit easier to learn. With a lot of videotutorials and visiting some blender colleges I learned how to use it in full. Now I use a free 3d modeling/unwrapping/texturing/3d painting/animation/compositing/video editing application (blender).
