Author Topic: Addon:M1A2Abrams_ac (Tank_ac version 2)  (Read 3222 times)

« on: April 19, 2011, 05:14:53 AM »
I've just submitted the updated version of my tank addon. It's now called M1A2Abrams_ac not Tank_ac because it's a different model altogether.

It has a cannon,an MG,leaves tire marks and particles and the shell explodes on contact.

I'll submit a new version,but it porbably won't work.
I'm a failure. :'(

Dude, you can't call yourself a failure just because of one little slip-up!
...Wait, I have an idea!!
What if you don't submit it as an ADDON, but you put it in the forum as a PLUGIN in a .zip file
with all of the resources inside of it? It seems MUCH easier if you do it that way! ;)
All you'd have to do is make sure it works inside a file with the resources (make sure you're using resources
from that file, for example: if you have it in a folder named Tank Addon, then you would use resources from Tank Addon/3D Rad_res/(whatever file, say skinmesh or rigidbody or something). Does that make sense? I hope this little tip was helpful to you! And besides, it WAS your first EVER addon! Again: I hope i've helped!! ;)

Psst...

How do I create folders within zip foders?
« Reply #12 on: April 23, 2011, 09:05:46 AM »
first off, you don't: you put the stuff in folders that are NOT in the zipped folder, then you put those folders in the zipped folder.

Was it just the skinmesh?
