Fish Wars

Hi guys, this was a little game I whipped up to entertain some guests. Don't be fooled by it's poor graphics, the gameplay is just awesome. It's kept them entertained for hours.

Anyway, the game is basically a shooter with the goal to knock the other player out of the map by shooting fish out of a cannon mounted on each car. Each time a player gets tossed out of the map, one team scores a point out of five. At the end of the match, the game announces the winner.

The Controls:

Player 1
arrows to move the car
"enter" to shoot

Player 2
"w,a,s,d" to move the car
"c" to shoot

I didn't work on it for too long but it's fun.

It wasn't my idea really.. It was my cousin's. He wanted a 3 player fish battle. I was super bored, so I went on to finish the game. It turned out to be 2 player though since I didn't feel like splitting the cameras 3 ways. The camera transition system really turned out well on this game since the cars are constantly jumping off the ground when they get hit, and need the camera steady when aiming the gun. I thought the auto targeting system worked out pretty well too.. but I'm open to suggestions if anyone has any. I noticed the game freezes when you shoot at the walls of the ruins, and the bullets don't bounce properly (something that will be fixed in a version using PhysX).

maybe Ill post my split screen racer, It was a game I whipped up for a freind and me to play, it is based in a big city place to drive round and ave fun and also has some enemys to piss you off!

nice, but pressing more then 3 buttons at once seems to be causing problems...

Some keyboards can't handle very many button presses at once

I remember having that ploblem a long time ago but totally forgot about it for this game. Does your keyboard plug in to a usb port, or is it the other kind?

I still cant figure out why we were not given tentacles instead of fingers.. for "ctrl-alt-del".. And I still wonder who dreamed up that combination.
