Adding A Pilot and CoPilot




Who wants to fly alone... it's always better when you have some company, right...

Especially when it's so easy to add an Andro based pilot and copilot to the Light Airplane Addon...


Step 1 - Select the Light Airplane Group so that you'll be positioned properly for the next object added...

Step 2 - Add a new skinmesh object and change it to the Andro figure...

Step 3 - Position the standing Andro figure so that his head is just forward of the wing and centered over the left seat...

Step 4 - Designate animation set 1 in the skinmesh property box, and set the Animation Speed to zero...

Step 5 - Link Andro's skinmesh to the Airplane's Rigid Body...  then add a Script object and link Andro's Skinmesh to that...

the script will look like this...

The script is just used to set the proper animation pose for a sitting Andro character...


Well... that's all there is to it... you now have a pilot figure in the left seat...
You'll most likely have to adjust the position a bit... a lil bit trial and error will get a good position...




When you're satisfied with the pilot figure, simply clone it... move it to the right seat... link it to the plane and the same script (as above)... 

He won't say much... but at least he'll be along as company for those long flights...

If you position the figures just right you'll be able to take the pilot's seat or the copilot's seat and be able to see throught the skinmesh objects as if they weren't even there...


oh yeah... almost forgot... be sure to link em to your plane group so that when you move the plane, they'll follow...
