Oh, bummer, it does not work with Home Premium? Argh. Sorry, did not know.

Is there any other way to get BTB to work on windows 7 because i want to build heaps of different drag strips with return lane's and i figured BTB would be the easiest way for me as im not very advanced in that area

Hmm, did a quick search... No idea if it works, but it might be worth a try: http://www.vmware.com/products/player/

not sure what your problem is exactly
extract all files from installer, run setup.exe, install to C:\ (take out the program files part),run as admin.

Microsoft seem to have made it so that the Virtual PC does not work on Home Premium. Searches online show this too and people believe that MS felt that perhaps those with only Home Premium have not paid enough to get the Virtual PC for free.
but that's run directly in windows 7, i did not use any type of virtual pc. look at the screenshot, it's windows 7 64 bit, home premium
looks like i cant do that because i have windows 7 home premium 64 bit says i have to upgrade windows to be-able to download it so looks like no BTB for me until its win7 compatible
You are not eligible to download Windows XP Mode. You must have Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise, or Ultimate to run Windows XP Mode. To upgrade visit Windows 7 Anytime Upgrade.
But when i goto there site to download windows xp mode i get that above message
hi
im wondering if anyone here knows how to get bobs track builder to work with windows 7 64bit i keep getting this message
I contacted them and all i got was they don't support vista or win 7 and to ask around because some people have had success
im glad i didn't buy it straight off
regards
mark
also this was the original error i was getting after install BTB
im running it as administrator and i tried changing compatibility mode and no luck just keep getting same error message
Just did a test, downloaded and installed BTB and it works fine for me under WIndows 7, 64-bit.
May be a redundant question, or two, but have you installed DirectX 9C as leon mentioned:
...and did you install it outside of Program Files (x86) in case that is the issue? To many 32-bit programs that is the very problem, for some reason I am not sure of what it is...

Hmm, well, no idea then, with DX9 and outside of Program Files all done.
I got two CPUs (Duo), so having four (Quad) should not affect it either (I can make neither heads nor tail of that error message you get, just in case I am on a wild goose chase with this), but have you tried setting affinity via the Task Manager?
But as I say, I do not know what else to suggest.

yeah i think i have tried everything now i think i just have to give up and be thankful i did not buy it
Yes. A shame, though, looks like a handy tool for what it does. He really ought to update the program to assure support for today's operating systems.
Hopefully you can get a selection of dragstrips done in other ways.

works on my win7 32 bits machine. You just need a non-build-in graphics card to make it run OK. I also got some problems with my license (legal one) so I had to Cr*ck the prog.
