Author Topic: 3D fILE CONVERSION mdr+qc+jpg to x  (Read 1037 times)

« on: July 08, 2010, 07:30:17 AM »
I want to convert md3(Quake III 3d file) file to x.
Any converter suggested??
There's also a .qc file attached to it. I opened the md3 file with quick3d but it was without any texture. I guess the qc file has texture in it. There are 5-6 jpg texture files also in the folder. I have attached the folder anyway. Please see and suggest me how to convert the file ALONG WITH textures. Thanx for help.

ya i just tried using fragmotion.
It worked perfectly.....hmm....not PERFECTLY!!

It imported the md3 file very well with all d textures. But when i exported it to .x file and opened it, there were no textures. I am not experienced at all with all these 3d software. So, pls tell if I had to do smthing extra to export textures or smthing else?? Also if I had to export textures, how to import it to 3drad. Im sing RadImp currently. will it export textures too with the model to 3drad??

Keep the textures in the same folder as the .x file. If you use radimp copy the textures to the sam import folder as the .x file or they won't be imported.

Strange that FragMotion did not export your textures. Try to export text directX file (non-encoded) and open it with notepad. See what is wrong with the texture path settings.

Go to the textures tab in Fragmotion, and right click on the texture, if the texture was not loaded.. Then select the "Open Texture" option
The Texture must be in the same directory as the .X file
