Author Topic: 2 questions, skinning a ragdoll and the new imposter object  (Read 418 times)

« on: May 02, 2010, 11:03:33 AM »
how do you attach skinmesh bones to a ragdoll made of spheres and joints correctly? i have tried 3 ways so far and each gets a screwed up result. the three ways are iObjectBoneLocationSet, iObjectBoneOrientationSet, and both at the same time.
here's what it looks like in the editor

here's the result of iObjectBoneLocationSet

iObjectBoneOrientationSet

and both in effect at same time

so i'm doing something wrong but i have no idea what.(unless it's a  bug?)

also to clear something up, is it that the new imposter object cannot make an imposter to follow something? cause all i'm getting is a trail of my car.

Currently using 7.22

Haha, I love the deformations that your images show. Reminds me of a griefer trick used in secondlife, where the bones are misaligned by editing the joint offsets of the bvh file. An unsuspecting user sits on a "bugged" seat, and they are deformed similar to your examples.
I've not played with physics joints in Rad much, so can't give a valid opinion.
