I posted a new one on the first page. It includes a compiled version for those who don't have 3drad version 6.43 or higher. ;)

Try the first post, apparently it has a compiled version you can try :)

When you download 3dr projects, you have to save them somewhere, not "open" -or it will say "virtual space empty". Also, merge the 3DRad_res folder so that you have the custom rigidbody and skinmesh. :)

I think making this a sticky topic for a while would be very worth while. Great project!!! Thank you. :o

BTW, you should upload the zip file to your posting to have direct access, in case that other site goes down.

Rush - I suspect that noobs like me are having probs opening the project because we are all on 6.41 just testing the waters and you are probably using the sparkly new 6.44 version ?

No, I'm waiting for next month's upgrade :D I'm still on 6.43 just to make it easier on those who are not completely up to date. But then I'll be in line for the sparkly new
6.46 version
 ;D
But hey, you can test it out now even without 3drad because I included a compiled version. ;)

Rush. Don't want to take the wind out of your sails but I can't see what all the fuss is about here. I played the compiled version, and although the camera work was classy and the modelling great, I can't see what the point of this is ????

In the examples I am working on at the moment I haven't yet seen any "bendy wheels" yet that this is designed to solve.

Maybe I'm missing something ?

What I would like to see (still...still....still...) is a practical solution that flips a car the right way up when it lands on its head - but helas - a guy called "Mike" ran off with it it seems  >:(

Some of us have built projects where the car moves so fast that the wheels start to vibrate from the high speed. It is a common issue with physics engines keeping track of objects moving at high speed. This system works much like many car games, first one that comes to mind is Burnout Paradise.

I think clandestine should look into this! :) The only question we have now is will be able to get the car AI system work with this?

Extra note. Fernando, could you create this type of car system as an object. Call it "arcade car" or something? That would make it more streamed line and only one object on our side, rather then a full list?

It could certainly be made as a new 3drad object, but things that can also be achieved by combining existing objects are ususally harder to fund  :-\

Also, when we have PhysX support, we will also have a built-in car system which seems to behave in a way similar to the Rush3Fan's system.
