I thought this would be a cool idea to try and once I get time, I want to try simulate one of my robots using this sort of method.

So, the secret is: You have to increase the lateral traction of the caster wheels (side wheels) to 3000 or so and link the parent wheel to the car using a hinge joint with a motor.

wow so you are saying a car the moves in any direction without the need to turn. like the concept for the spherical wheel.

so you are using 3drad for robotic simulations? if so is it pretty reliable and realistic? I have been trying to find a way to test out some designs before actually building and if 3drad could be used that would be awesome.

Here's the final version

Features:
  • Ability to rotate the car with the mouse
  • Use the arrow keys to dirrect the car holonomically
  • The scripts are made compatible for proportional control with gamepads
Holonomic Car (works on 3Drad 6.43 and up).

Oh, sorry. I thought I had all defult objects. I guess not. :( Still, It is definately worth checking out those skyboxes. They are awesome!
