I always had a hard time creating skid marks in my 3d race track models. I have tried several ways to create them in my model tool, or in photoshop, but I never made one I liked. One day I was thinking, it would be cool if I could find a nice flat parking lot and borrow the wife's GT mustang... But that could end up being some expensive textures if I were to break the transmission while doing burnouts...

I then had a brainwave. I could do this in 3D Rad, and use a screenshot program to capture the image ( BTW exporting a screenshot might be a good feature request).

I made a very simple program that I can use to create all sorts of black marks to simulate the look of real black marks on a white surface. I can then edit them easy in photoshop and have some good looking pre-made tire/tyre marks on the race track surface. I already have some ideas for version 2, if you have any suggestions please let me know!

this is pretty awesome.
those settings you have would make a pretty awesome drifting game. i stopped the skids and was messin around with drifting lol (really good)

seems like this is the start of apps by 3d rad. maybe change the website to say "The 3d game and app maker" lol

btw, real burnouts dont appear so well depending on the surface.(smoke may appear and you may have had a bit of fun though)

maybe for an update, have the thing a bit bigger in area, then set the camera behind the car so you can see what you are doing better, then use another key to switch to top down view and hide the car

Currently using 7.22
