Hey guys  ;D

Ive finally been able to get into Rad the way ive wanted to for the past couple of years and I did a small test to get to know Rads workflow, its  in's an out's. This is nothing Im actually working on right now as a project, more as a test (Although I might.... ;). Its a simple menu and a one lap race. Most of it is just Placeholder geometry and stuff Ive found in the net and assets available in Rad. I did model the main vehicle and the simple oval track. This took me about 6 days to do, most of which was dedicated to geting to know the script and event objects in general. The main menu is an actual animated skinmesh. The car has about 3,400 triangles, but most of the other stuff isnt really optimized yet. Game actually runs at a solid 60 FPS but for some reason, Fraps lagged it a bit toward the final half when recording it. Towards the end ,once the race finishes, the A.I. kicks in and controls the car all the way till the end trigerring different camera views at it goes. Let me know what you think!  ;D

Fantastic!!! I don't get it either... Is the car sitting on the track while your in the menu?? Or are you using exit fade? And how about the music? I'm curious to know if the music is 'game ready' like xzess.org provides and where you got it. Very nice work weapon.. I am inspired.

I had to chop the loading pic off between scenes because it was an extra 50 seconds(Initial loading of menu, and Race track scene), so you cant tell. As soon as you select the car and hit the Begin Race button, it exit fades and loads the next scene  ;).
The music is a free music loop I got from partners in rhyme, here are a few sites:

Ha ha, I was thinking that was some fast loading.. That's crazy that you are able to change the car color and save those settings to the next project. I may also have to pick your brains... lol

Very nice demo of what can be done with Rad with good skills and good ideas, I really like your immersive skinmesh menu and the ability to change colors. :)
Your test already look like an almost finished project.
