Guys... I found a simple way to make terrain. Sketchup comes with a feature called "sandbox". Google it.... You have to enable the sandbox tools though before you use them. Fast and easy terrain making.....
  im so small!

L3DT 2.7 build 18 or later now supports 3ds export with texture, which means you can load it in SU and import to RAD. (faces are inverted).

where can i download it???

I followed the directions, but there is one problem: the car falls through the terrain. How do I add collision detection? Collision detection works with the testcities.x file but not for my own .x file that I created using T.ED...  Suggestions?

The tutorial only describes how to make the visual part.
It's not described in the tutorial how to add rigidbody and collisions since its covered in the 3dRad basic tutorials.
Anyway you have to add a rigidbody which maches your terrain (basicly import as rigidbody static aswell) and link car, g-force to it.

Hello to everyone,

just tried yesterday my first steps.... ???
I just wanted to make a terrain and load it with 3D Rad...
I used L3DT and followed the steps described in the first post.
Now I have two files: A heightmap and a texture...and what do I have to do now?

RadImp_v0.7 doesn`t work here on Win7 -> There`s a message: "Not compatible with this windows-version"...

Any help appreciated...

thx
vanBasten

Is there a complete Help-File I can dl?

This thread is kind of outdated, you should use http://www.3drad.com/forum/index.php?topic=3076.0
Also RadImp 0.7 was compiled for 64bit (by mistake), but 0.6 still works for 32 bit. A 0.8 version is on the way which will work on any (when it's ready).
